Heather VandenHoven, creator and author of Lamb Lines blog, and many other published devotions, lives in Northern California with her husband of 32 years and her 24 year old daughter. She holds an AA degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Childhood Education, and later graduated from a 2 year professional writer’s program in Connecticut. She has written for over 20 years and currently combines a life of writing publications with serving college students as a full time Financial Aid Counselor and managing home for her family. Additionally, Heather spent 13 years as school registrar in the private school system with a joy of providing Christian mentorship to teen girls, managing high school records, transcripts, and office business, Administrative Assistant to Principal, Human Resources, Communications, and college/SAT counseling. In short, she’s lived careers, family, and life and found the call for new chapters when God lead and enjoyed current chapters when He anchored. God has been good! On a personal level, Heather has experienced life as many of you have with happy and sad moments that make a person dig deeper for the real. Having lost an older brother to Leukemia at 41 years old, very nearly losing a dad to Valley Fever, having been a tremendous Lyme Disease sufferer for 10+ years in the past, and suffering from some broken relationships, Heather has learned to depend on the leading of her Shepherd for joy and strength. And that she has found! Again, God is good! Through her blog, Heather aims to bring that “God is good!” message to her readers and give them a part of who she is and what Jesus means in our lives. Her dream: to inspire, to empathize, to love, to share, and to bring a realness of Jesus to a people seeking something deeper as the world spirals on. Her philosophy: We’re all in this life together learning to love, making mistakes, making victories, and above all, living in the powerful and compassionate care of Jesus Christ. We are never out of His love. Ever. Thank you for being part of the Lamb Lines family! Be encouraged and moved and enjoy walking and learning Jesus as you follow!
